The Federal Government of Nigeria has instructed the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) to start lifting Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) directly from the Dangote Refinery.
This directive was announced during an emergency meeting called by IPMAN’s National President, Alh. Abubakar Shettima, on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the IPMAN National Secretariat. It marks a significant step following a series of high-level discussions between the National President and government officials.
Additionally, the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has been ordered to release N10 billion to IPMAN as part of bridging claims owed to the association.
Alh. Shettima further informed members that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has been instructed to refund unused ticket values of IPMAN members on its portal. The directives from the Federal Government are to take effect immediately.
