Dangote Receives Otedola, First HoldCo Executives at Lagos Refinery

President of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, on Wednesday received the Chairman of First HoldCo Plc, Femi Otedola, alongside senior executives of the group during a visit to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Lagos.

The visit brought together officials from two of Nigeria’s major business groups amid growing conversations around industrial investment, infrastructure expansion and private-sector participation in Africa’s economic development.

In a statement shared through its official communication channels, Dangote Industries said the engagement reflected increasing collaboration between stakeholders in the continent’s industrial and financial sectors.

According to the company, discussions during the visit centred on long-term investment, industrial capacity development, energy security and regional economic growth.

Dangote Industries stated that the interaction underscored a shared interest among African business leaders in strengthening production capacity and supporting large-scale industrial projects capable of driving economic transformation across the continent.

The company also described the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex as one of Africa’s largest industrial investments, noting that the facility continues to attract attention from financial institutions, investors and corporate stakeholders.

Dangote Industries added that the refinery project reflects broader efforts aimed at improving regional self-sufficiency and expanding industrial infrastructure within Africa.

The refinery, located in Lagos, remains one of Nigeria’s most significant private-sector energy investments and has increasingly become a focal point in discussions surrounding domestic refining capacity, fuel supply and industrial development.

Executives from First HoldCo who accompanied Otedola during the visit were not immediately identified in the company’s statement.
