Dangote Petroleum Refinery will strictly enforce mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements for all tanker drivers and assistants involved in gantry loading operations, effective February 1, 2026.
In a notice to customers, the refinery restated that all drivers and assistants must comply fully with the safety rules before accessing the gantry area.
Under the directive, all drivers and assistants must wear full-sleeve coveralls during gantry loading operations. The refinery also requires personnel to wear safety shoes and safety helmets at all times within the operational area.
Additionally, drivers and assistants must wear hand gloves and safety goggles throughout the entire loading process.
The refinery said the measures protect personnel and ensure full compliance with safety standards across gantry operations.
Dangote Refinery urged customers and transport operators to brief their drivers and assistants ahead of the enforcement date. The refinery stressed that it will condition gantry access on full compliance with the PPE requirements from February 1.
