Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has signed on as a Gold Sponsor of the 20th OTL Africa Downstream Energy Week, as the industry gathers in Lagos to discuss developments in Africa’s petroleum products market.
The refinery joins the sponsors of the October 25–30 event as Nigeria’s domestic refining capacity reshapes the supply and trade of petroleum products, with implications for import demand, product pricing and cross-border distribution.
With a crude processing capacity of 700,000 barrels per day, the Lekki-based refinery produces petrol, diesel, aviation fuel and liquefied petroleum gas, alongside petrochemicals such as polypropylene. Its integrated storage, pipeline and marine infrastructure supports the movement of products to domestic and international markets.
The refinery’s participation comes as downstream operators across Africa navigate changes in product sourcing, supply arrangements and regional trade amid expanding refining capacity in Nigeria.
The 20th OTL Africa Downstream Energy Week will hold at the Lagos Oriental Hotel under the theme, “Secure Energy, Shared Prosperity.” The conference and exhibition are scheduled for October 26–29.
