The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has unveiled the first phase of its free petrol delivery programme, extending direct supply to marketers in six states as part of its Vision 2030 industrialisation strategy aimed at strengthening fuel distribution and improving product accessibility across Nigeria.
The initiative, branded under the refinery's "Vision 2030: Accelerating Africa's Industrialisation" agenda, will initially cover Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Kaduna, the Federal Capital Territory (Abuja), and Delta, with plans to expand to additional states in subsequent phases.
Under the programme, Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) will continue to be supplied at the refinery's existing gantry price of ₦1,215 per litre, while qualifying buyers will also benefit from free delivery and a 10-day credit facility.
The refinery stated that participation in the programme is currently limited to buyers purchasing a minimum of 250,000 litres, making the initiative primarily targeted at large-volume marketers and bulk distributors.
The rollout follows Dangote Refinery's broader efforts to improve product distribution after restoring petrol sales in naira and stabilising supply into the domestic market. The company has increasingly focused on expanding logistics capacity to ensure products move more efficiently from its refinery to marketers across Nigeria.
By combining direct delivery with deferred payment terms, the programme is expected to ease product movement for participating marketers, reduce distribution bottlenecks and support more efficient fuel supply within the selected states.
Dangote said the six-state rollout represents the first phase of the initiative, with additional states expected to be incorporated as implementation progresses.
The programme forms part of the refinery's long-term industrial strategy aimed at strengthening domestic fuel distribution, improving supply efficiency and supporting Africa's broader industrial development objectives under its Vision 2030 agenda.
