Dangote Petroleum Refinery supplied more than 203,500 metric tonnes (MT), equivalent to about 272.7 million litres, of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to independent downstream marketers in July 2026, with Ardova Plc emerging as the largest identified domestic buyer, according to a loading operations schedule obtained by Petroleumprice.ng.
The loading schedule, analysed by Petroleumprice.ng, shows that independent marketers accounted for 203,500 MT of petrol lifted from the refinery during the month, excluding volumes retained by Dangote Refinery, cargoes allocated to international trading firms, and shipments without identified domestic offtakers.
Ardova recorded the highest lifting volume, loading 52,000 MT aboard the Mosunmola. The vessel arrived at the refinery on July 23, berthed on July 24, and departed on July 25 for Lagos.
Bongas Global ranked second with 33,000 MT loaded aboard the Bora. The vessel arrived and berthed on July 5 before sailing on July 6 for Lagos.
Soroman lifted 32,000 MT aboard the Stellar. The cargo was loaded on July 4 and departed on July 5 for Lagos.
Pivot Energy received 30,000 MT aboard the Zonda. The vessel departed on July 16, supplying Port Harcourt and Lagos.
Rainoil was allocated 20,000 MT aboard the Princess Oge. However, the vessel had not arrived, berthed, or sailed as of the latest loading schedule.
Nepal lifted 20,000 MT aboard the African Marvel, which departed on July 23 for Warri. Eterna Plc loaded 16,500 MT aboard the Zonda, which departed on July 30 for Warri.
The schedule also listed two additional PMS cargoes totalling 50,000 MT. These comprised 20,000 MT aboard the Stellar and 30,000 MT aboard the Leste, with the marketers yet to be identified.
Overall, Dangote Refinery loaded approximately 640,500 MT of petrol across 13 cargoes during July. Of the total volume, 299,000 MT was retained by the refinery, while about 138,000 MT was allocated to export cargoes, unidentified marketers, and other offtakers. The remaining 203,500 MT was supplied directly to identified domestic marketers.
The July loading pattern highlights the refinery's expanding role as a wholesale supplier to Nigeria's downstream petroleum market. Marketers including Ardova Plc, Bongas Global, Soroman, Pivot Energy, Rainoil, Nepal, and Eterna Plc sourced petrol directly from the facility to support distribution across major consumption centres.
The distribution also reflects the increasing reliance of independent marketers on locally refined petrol as domestic fuel supply continues to shift toward direct lifting from Dangote Refinery.
