Dangote Refinery to Resume Gantry Sales September 23

Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE (DPRP) will restart self-collection gantry sales of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. The decision comes just five days after it suspended gantry collections on September 18.

During the suspension, the refinery stopped payments linked to active Pro Forma Invoices (PFIs) and warned that it would reject late payments. It directed marketers to its Free Delivery Scheme, which moves products straight to retail stations without extra cost. The company described the change as an operational adjustment to improve efficiency.

In a new notice, Dangote confirmed that gantry sales will resume as scheduled. At the same time, it emphasised that the Free Delivery Scheme remains active and open for registration. “We are aggressively delivering on the Free Delivery Scheme, and it is still open for registration,” the refinery stated, urging partners to sign up.

To reassure marketers, the company said it keeps a monthly closing stock of 500 million litres of refined products. It apologised for any disruption caused by the suspension and pledged to strengthen cooperation with its partners.

Industry observers argue that the swift return to gantry sales shows Dangote’s determination to stabilise fuel supply. Moreover, they believe the refinery is still pushing a structured delivery model that could reshape competition in the downstream market.
