The Dangote Petroleum Refinery is still compiling its final consortium of petroleum marketers for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) transactions, with the complete list expected to contain about 40 marketers, a refinery source told Petroleumprice.ng.

The source said the list currently circulating among marketers is not entirely accurate or complete, as the refinery is still finalising the composition of the consortium.

“The list in circulation is not entirely the complete and correct list. The compilation is currently ongoing, and the complete list contains about 40 marketers,” the source said.

The development follows the refinery’s recent restructuring of its PMS trading arrangements, including a notice to customers that unpaid PMS gantry deal recaps would no longer be considered valid.

In the communication, the refinery said the measure took immediate effect but did not announce any increase in the price of PMS.

The adjustment is understood to be part of efforts to remodel the refinery’s trading structure and streamline how PMS transactions are confirmed, paid for and executed.

The final consortium list is expected to clarify the marketers that will participate in the refinery’s revised PMS purchasing arrangement.
