Fuel Stations Shut Down in Lagos as Petrol Prices Soar to ₦1,200

Fuel stations in Lagos are shutting down as petrol prices hit ₦1,200 per litre, according to checks by Petroleumprice. Sahara Depots and Eterna Depot are now selling Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at ₦1,150 per litre, while independent marketers have set their price at ₦1,200 per litre.

This development follows the recent price hike by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL). In Abuja, NNPCL stations have increased petrol prices from ₦897 to ₦1,030 per litre, while in Lagos, prices have surged from ₦885 to ₦998 per litre, effective immediately.
