The price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is set to increase across Nigeria as leading suppliers NIPCO and 11PLC have raised the depot price to ₦1,150 per kilogram. This represents a 5.56% rise from the previous rate of ₦1,095 per kg, which was effective until Friday, October 11, 2024.
A source at one of the companies cited the reason for the price hike: “Due to a significant increase in international market prices, LPG depot price has been revised to ₦1,150/kg, with immediate effect.”
Last week, major suppliers sold LPG at the following rates:
• Navgas: ₦1,100/kg
• NIPCO: ₦1,095/kg
• 11PLC: ₦1,095/kg
• PPMC: ₦1,092.5/kg
• Techno Gas: ₦1,100/kg
The increase is expected to affect consumers nationwide, potentially leading to higher retail prices in the coming days.
