Dangote Refinery has invalidate petrol sales transactions for customers whose PMS gantry deal recaps have not been backed by payment, according to a notice issued to its customers.
In the notice seen by Petroleumprice.ng, the refinery said all PMS gantry deal recaps for which payment has not been received will no longer be considered valid, effective immediately.
The directive effectively means that unpaid petrol transactions will not be recognised by the refinery, putting the onus on customers to complete payment for their PMS allocations or deals to remain valid.
“Please be informed that, effective immediately, all PMS gantry deal recaps for which payment has not been received will no longer be considered valid,” the refinery said in the notice to customers.
The development introduces a stricter payment condition into Dangote Refinery’s petrol trading and loading process, with unpaid deal recaps no longer serving as valid transaction records.
For marketers and other buyers sourcing Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from the refinery, the directive makes timely payment critical to maintaining the validity of their transactions and securing product under agreed deals.
The notice, however, did not state that Dangote Refinery had stopped all petrol sales or suspended PMS production. Rather, it specifically applies to gantry deal recaps where payment has not been received.
Dangote Refinery said the measure is aimed at supporting a seamless and efficient experience for customers while thanking them for their continued partnership and cooperation.
