Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced its Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), commonly known as diesel, gantry price by ₦70 per litre, from ₦1,850 to ₦1,780 per litre, effective October 1, 2026.
The refinery disclosed the adjustment in a customer communication, which also announced a reduction in its coastal AGO pricing premium from ICE plus $90 to ICE plus $70 per metric tonne.
The gantry price reduction represents a 3.8 percent decrease from the previous rate.
The new pricing takes effect on Nigeria’s Independence Day, October 1, placing the adjustment alongside the country’s 66th anniversary celebration.
Although the refinery did not link the price reduction to the national celebration, the timing could be viewed by market participants as a gesture coinciding with Independence Day.
The revised pricing means customers loading AGO through the refinery’s gantry will pay ₦1,780 per litre from October 1, while the coastal delivery premium will apply at ICE plus $70 per metric tonne.
