Dangote Petroleum Refinery has increased its gantry price for automotive gas oil (AGO), commonly known as diesel, from ₦1,800 to ₦1,840 per litre, effective Wednesday, October 28, 2026. The ₦40 increase represents approximately 2.2 per cent.
According to a circular made available to Petroleumprice.ng, the refinery’s Group Commercial Operations notified customers of the revised price and directed them to return all existing Authority to Collect (ATC) documents for repricing. New volume contracts will be issued to facilitate the immediate resumption of loading under the revised pricing arrangement.
The development comes as depot prices for AGO vary across locations. Checks by our correspondents, shows that T.Time, Menj and Ibachem offering diesel at ₦1,840 per litre in Lagos, while Rain Oil and Prudent listed the product at ₦1,890 per litre in Warri.
The refinery’s ₦40-per-litre increase could add to procurement costs for marketers and bulk buyers, with implications for distribution margins and end-user prices. Marketers are now anticipating a possible further increase in diesel prices following the adjustment, although no additional price changes have been confirmed.
Market participants will be watching how the revised gantry price affects depot pricing and diesel supply costs in the coming days.
