Vessel Arrival: MT DIDI Set to Discharge 20,000MT of PMS at Techno Oil Jetty

A petroleum products vessel, MT DIDI, has arrived at Techno Oil Jetty with 20,000 metric tonnes of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, with Techno Oil Limited and Fatgbems Petroleum Company Limited jointly handling the cargo under a co-loading arrangement. Discharge operations are currently underway.

Both companies are among the approved consortium marketers of Dangote Petroleum Refinery, giving them a role in the refinery’s structured petrol distribution arrangement. Their participation in the cargo highlights the involvement of established downstream operators in moving refined petroleum products into the Nigerian market.

Techno Oil, which is hosting the discharge operation at its jetty, is an indigenous energy company with interests spanning petroleum product distribution, fuel storage, lubricants, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) infrastructure and cylinder manufacturing. The company also operates a nationwide distribution and retail network serving industrial and retail customers.

Fatgbems, meanwhile, is an established Nigerian petroleum marketing company with operations in fuel retailing and petroleum product distribution. Through its network of service stations and storage infrastructure, the company participates in supplying petroleum products to consumers and businesses across the downstream market.

The 20,000MT consignment is expected to add to the volume of petrol available for distribution through the domestic supply chain. Once discharged, the product will be available for subsequent movement into the market through the participating marketers.

The co-loading arrangement brings together two Dangote Refinery consortium members in the handling and distribution of the cargo, while Techno Oil's jetty provides the receiving infrastructure for the vessel.

The development comes as petroleum marketers continue to play a significant role in transporting and distributing refined products from supply points to depots, retail outlets and end users.

Petroleumprice.ng will continue to monitor vessel arrivals, cargo discharge activities and product distribution across Nigeria's downstream petroleum industry.
