The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has begun loading petrol from the Dangote Refinery, located in the Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos.
In the initial phase, ten trucks were filled using a computerised system. The refinery is equipped with 86 gantries, enabling the simultaneous loading of 86 trucks, with 40 gantries specifically designated for petrol.

This development is a significant step for NNPC in ensuring the availability of petroleum products nationwide. According to Devakumar V. G. Edwin, Vice President of Dangote Industries Limited, the refinery can supply 54 million litres of petrol daily, helping Nigeria save on foreign exchange.
The number of trucks entering the gantries is steadily increasing, with NNPC expecting hundreds more in the coming days.
