The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has reached out to candidates who passed the Computer-Based Test (CBT) stage of its 2024 recruitment process. The test, conducted on Saturday, 6 December, was the first step in securing a position at the prestigious oil company.
According to reports, over 45,000 applicants competed in the CBT at various centres across the country. NNPC’s Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), Mele Kyari, visited a test centre in Abuja during the exams and assured the public that the recruitment process would be transparent, fair, and based on merit.
Interview Invitations Sent Out
Candidates who passed the CBT have started receiving emails inviting them to the interview stage. The emails, sent by NNPC, confirm their successful performance in the test and provide instructions for the next steps.
The invitation states:
“Following your successful performance in the CBT, we are pleased to inform you that you have been shortlisted to progress to the next stage in our recruitment process – INTERVIEW. Details about the date, time, and location will be communicated shortly. Please check your email regularly for updates.”
NNPC has reassured the public that the entire recruitment exercise is fair and inclusive. The company emphasised that applicants are assessed solely on their qualifications, skills, and suitability for the role, adding that diversity and equal opportunities are prioritised.
Unsuccessful Candidates Also Notified
Applicants who did not make it to the next stage have also been informed. One candidate, who participated in the CBT, shared his disappointment online after receiving an email stating he had not been selected. Despite the setback, he acknowledged NNPC’s transparent approach in communicating the results.
Warning for Candidates
NNPC has reminded all candidates that they must meet the minimum requirements at every stage of the process. The recruitment team has reserved the right to disqualify any applicant who fails to meet these criteria.
This development highlights NNPC’s commitment to maintaining a credible recruitment process and providing opportunities for qualified Nigerians to join its workforce.
