NNPCL Posts ₦60.5tn Revenue, ₦5.76tn Profit in 2025

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited reported total revenue of N60.5 trillion for the 2025 financial year, alongside a profit after tax of N5.76 trillion, according to its latest monthly performance report published on Thursday.

The national oil company also disclosed that it remitted N14.706 trillion to statutory government agencies during the year under review.

Production and Operations Update

The report showed that crude oil and condensate production averaged 1.54 million barrels per day in December 2025. Natural gas production during the same period stood at 6.914 billion standard cubic feet per day.

Retail operations recorded 65 percent product availability across NNPCL outlets in December. Meanwhile, upstream pipeline infrastructure achieved 100 percent availability, reflecting stable transportation operations during the period.

However, the company noted that December production was affected by scheduled maintenance at the Stardeep-Agbami and Renaissance-Estuary Area facilities. It also cited unplanned outages at certain production sites.

Pipeline Projects Near Completion

Progress continued on key gas infrastructure projects.

The Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) pipeline reached 91 percent completion, while the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) pipeline also achieved 91 percent completion, according to the report.

Both projects are expected to strengthen domestic gas distribution and support industrial and power sector demand once fully delivered.

Monthly Revenue Trends

Earlier data released by the company showed that monthly revenue declined by 14.17 percent in November 2025. Revenue fell to N4.358 trillion, compared with N5.078 trillion recorded in October.

Despite the drop in revenue, profit after tax rose by 12.3 percent to N502 billion in November, up from N447 billion in October.

The report further indicated that statutory payments to the government totalled N967 billion in October. This brought cumulative remittances between January and October 2025 to N12.117 trillion.

The figures highlight the company’s financial performance across revenue generation, profitability, and fiscal contributions during the 2025 reporting period.
