The Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has appointed Olatide Jeremiah, CEO of petroleumprice.ng, as its Special Adviser on Petroleum Price Intelligence.

The appointment, contained in a letter dated July 11, 2026, was signed by PETROAN National President, Prince (Dr.) Billy S. Gillis-Harry, and National Secretary, Barr. Adedibu Aderibigbe.

According to the association, Jeremiah’s appointment takes effect immediately and will remain valid until otherwise determined by PETROAN.

The association said the decision was based on Jeremiah’s expertise, commitment and demonstrated capacity to contribute to the development of Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector.

In his new role, Jeremiah is expected to provide strategic guidance on petroleum pricing trends and intelligence, while advising PETROAN on policy issues relating to price regulation and market stability.

His responsibilities will also include supporting the association’s engagements with government agencies, industry stakeholders and other partners.

PETROAN further tasked him with contributing to research and analysis aimed at improving transparency and efficiency in petroleum product pricing.

The association said the role is intended to support its broader objective of promoting fair, sustainable and transparent practices within Nigeria’s petroleum retail sector.

PETROAN expressed confidence that Jeremiah would carry out the responsibilities attached to the position with diligence, integrity and professionalism.

The association formally conveyed its congratulations to Jeremiah on his appointment and expressed optimism that his expertise in petroleum price intelligence would contribute meaningfully to its objectives and the broader downstream sector.
