Voting for the Petroleumprice.ng Recognition and Awards 2026 will commence on September 21 and run until October 31, following the completion of the nomination process that produced 17 nominees across five categories.
The nomination exercise, which opened on August 1 and closed on September 15, attracted more than 15,000 entries and nearly 3,000 nominations from across the downstream petroleum industry.
The nominees are competing in five categories: Petroleum Station of the Year, Petroleum Depot Owner of the Year, Female Depot Owner of the Year, Downstream Petroleum Industry Advocate of the Year and Downstream Sector Personality of the Year.
For the Petroleum Station of the Year award, Nepal Energies Limited, Ardova PLC, NNPC Limited, Matrix and MRS Oil Nigeria PLC made the final list.
The Petroleum Depot Owner of the Year category features Abdulkabir Adisa Aliu of Matrix, Engr. Abdul Wasiu Sowami of Prudent/Ardova and Auwalu Abdullahi Rano of AA Rano.
In the Female Depot Owner of the Year category, the nominees are Barr. Mrs. Ngozi Ekeoma, Group Managing Director of Nepal Energies Limited; Dr. Victoria Samson of BOVAS; and Mrs. Nkechi Obi, OON, of Techno Oil.
NUPENG, MEMAN and DAPPMAN are competing for the Downstream Petroleum Industry Advocate of the Year award, while the Downstream Sector Personality of the Year category has Gabriel Ogechie, Group Managing Director of RAINOIL; Abubakar Umar, NMDPRA ACE; and Peter Mbah of Pinnacle as nominees.
The voting exercise will provide members of the public with an opportunity to participate in the recognition of individuals, companies and industry associations whose activities and contributions have shaped Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector.
The Petroleumprice.ng Recognition and Awards 2026 is aimed at recognising notable performance, leadership and contributions across the petroleum industry, with the public voting exercise forming a key part of this year’s recognition process.
Voting will open on September 21 and close on October 31, 2026.
