Nominations for the Petroleumprice.ng Recognition and Awards are set to close today, September 15, after the award programme recorded more than 15,000 entries and nearly 3,000 nominations across its six categories.
The Petroleumprice.ng Recognition and Awards is an industry recognition programme created to celebrate outstanding performance, leadership, innovation and contributions across Nigeria’s petroleum and energy sector. The awards will culminate in a ceremonial presentation on December 5, 2026, where the selected nominees and industry stakeholders will gather for the formal presentation of the honours.
Following the close of nominations, the organisers will commence the screening and selection process ahead of the voting period, which will run from September 21 to October 31.
The six-category nomination exercise has attracted participation from across the industry, with nearly 3,000 nominations recorded so far. The more than 15,000 entries received during the nomination period underscore the level of engagement generated by the awards.
The selection process will produce five finalists for the Station of the Year category. Three nominees will be selected each for Female Depot Owner of the Year, Male Depot Owner of the Year, Personality of the Year, and Innovative Organisation of the Year.
Voting will open on September 21 and continue through October 31, allowing the public to participate in the selection of recipients across the various categories.
November will be dedicated to the collation of results, final preparations and other arrangements ahead of the December ceremony. The period will also allow the organisers to conclude the necessary preparations for the presentation of the awards.
The December 5 ceremony will formally bring the awards programme to a close with the presentation of the honours to the successful recipients. Each selected nominee will receive a VIP pass to attend the ceremonial event.
With the nomination window closing today, attention will now shift to the screening and selection of nominees ahead of the commencement of voting on September 21.
