Petroleumprice.ng has announced that nominations for the second edition of its 2026 Recognition Awards will officially open on August 1, 2026, inviting stakeholders across Nigeria's downstream petroleum industry to nominate individuals and organisations that have demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation, and excellence in the sector.
The awards, now in their second edition, are aimed at recognising companies and professionals whose contributions continue to strengthen Nigeria's downstream petroleum value chain through operational excellence, service delivery, innovation, and industry leadership.
Nominations will be accepted in six categories: Best Fuel Station of the Year, Petroleum Depot Owner of the Year, Female Petroleum Depot Owner of the Year, Downstream Petroleum Industry Advocate of the Year, Downstream Sector Personality of the Year, and Most Innovative Downstream Organisation of the Year.
Speaking on the initiative, the Chairman of the Award Planning Committee, Olatide Jeremiah, said the awards were established to provide an independent platform for recognising excellence while encouraging innovation, professionalism, transparency and higher standards across the downstream petroleum industry.
He noted that the recognition programme reflects Petroleumprice.ng's continued commitment to supporting the growth and development of Nigeria's downstream sector by celebrating organisations and individuals making measurable contributions to the industry.
Industry operators, petroleum marketers, depot owners, retail outlet operators, service providers, regulators and other stakeholders are encouraged to submit nominations when the portal becomes active on August 1, 2026.
Petroleumprice.ng is also inviting corporate organisations, industry partners and stakeholders interested in supporting the initiative to participate through sponsorship and strategic partnerships.
