Petroleumprice.ng has reintroduced its Truck for Hire platform, a digital marketplace connecting truck owners with verified petroleum marketers, suppliers, and logistics demand across Nigeria’s downstream sector.
The relaunch targets a key industry gap, with over 10,000 trucks estimated to be idle out of about 35,000 petroleum haulage trucks nationwide. The platform provides a structured system for truck owners to showcase their assets and access opportunities.
The Truck for Hire section is accessible from the homepage alongside Marketers and Suppliers, enabling users to connect across the petroleum value chain.
A Structured Marketplace for Petroleum Logistics
Truck owners can register by visiting the website and navigating to the Truck Owners or Logistics section. Registration requires company details, contact information, and location, along with a professional personal image in PNG or JPEG format not exceeding 2MB. Once completed, users proceed to payment to activate their profile.
Subscribers can upload up to three truck images and one video. The plan is priced at ₦20,000 per month and provides access to marketplace listings, connections with verified marketers and suppliers, route optimisation tools, real-time pricing data, depot insights, and transport demand information.
Driving Efficiency Across the Value Chain
The platform supports a coordinated logistics model by linking truck owners directly with industry participants. Additional sections include Meet Our Marketers, Meet Our Suppliers, and Browse Trucks, offering access to verified partners and available transport options.
Unlocking Idle Capacity
By improving visibility and access to demand, the platform is expected to reduce idle truck time, improve turnaround efficiency, and strengthen logistics coordination.
The relaunch reflects a shift toward a more connected and efficient petroleum transport marketplace.
