Petroleumprice.ng has officially announced the timetable for the 2026 Petroleumprice.ng Awards, setting in motion what promises to be another landmark recognition programme celebrating excellence, innovation and outstanding contributions across Nigeria's downstream petroleum industry.
As one of the country's leading oil and gas information platforms, Petroleumprice.ng said the awards are designed to recognise individuals, organisations and brands that have demonstrated exceptional performance, leadership and impact within the energy sector.
According to the programme schedule, the nomination phase will commence on August 1, 2026, and run until September 15, 2026.
The nomination process will be conducted entirely online through a dedicated digital platform, with nomination links made available on Petroleumprice.ng's website and all its official social media platforms. Participation is free, and each individual will be permitted to submit only one nomination throughout the exercise to ensure fairness and credibility.
At the close of nominations, the top five nominees with the highest number of valid nominations in each award category will qualify for the public voting stage.
Public voting is scheduled to begin on September 16, 2026, and will remain open until October 31, 2026. Like the nomination process, voting will also be conducted online and will be free for all participants, giving industry stakeholders and the wider public an opportunity to decide this year's winners.
Following the conclusion of voting, all entries and votes will undergo collation and verification throughout November 2026 to ensure the integrity and transparency of the awards process.
The winners will be unveiled during the Petroleumprice.ng Awards Presentation Week, scheduled to hold between December 1 and December 5, 2026.
Petroleumprice.ng said the awards remain committed to promoting transparency, credibility and broad industry participation through a secure digital platform designed to deliver a seamless nomination and voting experience.
The platform therefore encourages marketers, depot operators, regulators, service providers, manufacturers, logistics companies, industry professionals and other stakeholders across the petroleum value chain to actively participate by nominating deserving individuals and organisations once the nomination portal opens.
