Soroman Depot in Calabar is set to receive 16,922.98 metric tonnes of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), adding a substantial volume of petrol to the facility’s supply capacity and strengthening its position in the competitive downstream petroleum market.
The cargo, aboard MT Leste, is scheduled to arrive at Soroman Depot, Calabar, Cross River State, on September 9, 2026, according to vessel and cargo details obtained by Petroleumprice.ng.
The shipment provides Soroman with a sizeable PMS volume for storage and subsequent distribution, potentially expanding its ability to serve buyers across Calabar and other markets within the South-South region.
Soroman’s operations span the petroleum supply and distribution chain, covering product sourcing, storage, logistics and delivery. The company serves commercial and industrial users, businesses and other petroleum product customers.
Its operating network includes facilities and activities in Calabar, Port Harcourt, Lagos and Warri, giving it access to multiple locations for product storage, distribution and customer fulfilment.
The company also accesses petroleum products through the Dangote Refinery supply channel, complementing its wider supply relationships and logistics network.
For the Calabar market, the arrival of nearly 17,000MT of PMS represents a significant product volume that could enhance Soroman’s ability to participate in regional supply and compete for downstream customers.
The company’s geographic spread also provides an operational base for moving products between key markets, while its storage infrastructure enables it to accommodate larger-volume petroleum transactions.
The MT Leste shipment consequently adds to the volume-handling capacity available through Soroman’s Calabar operation at a time when reliable access to petroleum products remains an important consideration for downstream buyers.
