Tanker Report Today: Dangote, Nipco, Others Receive Cargo

As of today, 9th June 2025, the latest Tanker Position Report shows three active vessel movements into Lagos; Dangote and Warri terminals.

Meanwhile, with arrivals scheduled for crude oil, diesel (AGO), and petrol (PMS), these deliveries are expected to strengthen fuel distribution across Nigeria’s key coastal depots. Below is an update on Captain Michael, Westmore, and Matrix Pride.

CAPTAIN MICHAEL – Awaiting Arrival at Dangote Jetty, Lagos

  • Product: Crude Oil
  • Quantity: 130,000 metric tonnes
  • Status: Arrived 7th June 2025
  • Remarks: Yet to arrive for discharge into Dangote Refinery

Analysis:
Captain Michael will berth at the Dangote Refinery with a full load of crude oil, helping to sustain ongoing refining operations as Nigeria’s local production picks up.

In addition, this delivery strengthens Dangote’s approach of combining locally sourced and imported crude for continuous refining.

Morever, as petrol demand remains high across the southwest, discharging this cargo plays a vital role in keeping the refinery’s output steady.

WESTMORE – Loading AGO from Dangote for Discharge at Nipco, Lagos

  • Product: Automotive Gas Oil (AGO)
  • Quantity: 38,000 metric tonnes
  • Status: Arrived 7th June 2025
  • Remarks: To load at Dangote Refinery, prior berthing for discharge

Analysis:
Meanwhile, Westmore is scheduled to load diesel at the Dangote Refinery before proceeding to Nipco Depot for offloading. This transfer highlights increasing intra-coastal product movement, improving Lagos’ AGO supply chain.

Furthermore, with diesel prices still under pressure, Westmore’s load could ease supply concerns for key commercial and logistics operators in the region.

MATRIX PRIDE – Awaiting Arrival at Matrix Jetty, Warri

  • Product: Premium Motor Spirit (PMS)
  • Quantity: 15,000 metric tonnes
  • Status: Arrived 8th June 2025
  • Remarks: Yet to arrive to discharge at Matrix Jetty

Analysis:
Matrix Pride is en route to Warri with a 15,000MT cargo of PMS, set to replenish supplies at Matrix Jetty.

Also, this delivery supports the South-South zone as demand stabilises after recent logistic delays.

Furthermore, with ongoing efforts to streamline coastal supply from domestic sources, Matrix Pride’s berthing is expected to enhance PMS availability for Delta and Edo retail networks.

Summary

These latest tanker arrivals highlight the growing role of domestic terminals in Nigeria’s downstream fuel logistics.

Also, with Captain Michael feeding crude to Dangote, Westmore shuttling diesel to Nipco, and Matrix Pride bringing PMS to Warri, the supply chain continues to pivot towards local refining and strategic distribution.

Depot operators, marketers, and logistics managers should track ETB updates closely, as these arrivals will influence regional stock levels and pricing over the coming days.
