Tanker Report Today: Total, Prudent, Receives Cargo

As of today 10th April 2025, Warri Port, a key player in Nigeria’s coastal oil logistics, is currently hosting two vital tankers, reinforcing the country’s downstream supply chain with refined petroleum cargoes. According to the Daily Oil and Gas Intelligence Report, terminals operated by Total and Prudent Energy received deliveries of base oil and Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) respectively.

Tanker Arrivals and Discharges

Warri – TOTAL Depot

  • Vessel: JULIA THERESA
  • Product: Base Oil
  • Quantity: 3,922 metric tonnes
  • Status: Awaiting Berth
  • Remarks: Vessel has arrived at Warri and is next in line to berth for discharge at TOTAL terminal.

Warri – PRUDENT ENERGY Depot

  • Vessel: ASHABI
  • Product: Premium Motor Spirit (PMS)
  • Quantity: 11,000 metric tonnes
  • Status: Yet to Arrive
  • Remarks: Vessel is expected to arrive at Prudent Jetty; discharge will commence upon berthing.

Strategic Significance

These arrivals are expected to bolster inland fuel availability, especially in the Delta region, as marketers manage stock levels amidst fluctuating crude prices. The supply of base oil is particularly vital for Nigeria’s lubricants and industrial fluids sector, while PMS remains the backbone of national transportation.

Energy experts believe the arrival of JULIA THERESA and ASHABI reflects strong supply planning by TOTAL and Prudent Energy, especially given Nigeria’s recent foreign exchange and price volatility challenges.

As Nigeria navigates turbulent global oil trends, efficient tanker logistics at regional ports like Warri will play a critical role in maintaining product flow. With more deliveries anticipated in coming days, marketers and transporters are watching closely for turnaround times and clearance schedules.
