Techno Oil Depot Takes Delivery of 20,000MT PMS, Loading to Begin Monday

The Techno Oil Depot has received a fresh inflow of 20,000 metric tonnes of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, with loading operations scheduled to commence on Monday, in a development expected to support fuel availability across the Lagos axis.

The cargo was delivered by the vessel MT Oluwajuwolo, which commenced loading at the Dangote Refinery on April 17 before arriving at the Techno Oil jetty located in Kirikiri, Lagos, where discharge operations are currently underway.

Berthing operations at the depot were completed on April 18, with the first mooring line secured at 19:02 hours and final positioning achieved by 19:30 hours, marking a total berthing time of 28 minutes. Conditions at the time were reported as stable, with moderate tidal movement, light south westerly winds, and good visibility, allowing for a smooth and incident free operation.

The latest delivery reinforces Techno Oil’s role as one of the 20 approved marketers authorised to lift products directly from the Dangote Refinery, positioning the depot as a key distribution point within the evolving domestic fuel supply chain.

Industry sources indicate that the arrival of the 20,000 metric tonnes of PMS is expected to improve product availability in Lagos and surrounding areas, particularly as supply dynamics continue to adjust to increased local refining output.

With sales and truck loading set to begin on Monday, the new stock is anticipated to contribute to short term market stability by easing pressure on depot supply and supporting distribution across retail channels.

The development reflects ongoing efforts by marketers and refiners to strengthen supply flows within Nigeria’s downstream sector, as stakeholders respond to demand patterns and logistics requirements in one of the country’s busiest fuel distribution hubs.
