Vessel Arrivals: Rain Oil, Matrix, Stockgap, Others Receive Fresh PMS, AGO, LPG Cargoes

Fresh shipments of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), Jet A1 and Butane are scheduled to berth at strategic depots and jetties across Lagos, Warri and Port Harcourt between July 1 and July 7, as marketers continue to replenish inventories amid improving product availability and heightened competition in Nigeria's downstream petroleum market.

Market Outlook

The steady inflow of PMS, AGO, Jet A1 and Butane cargoes underscores improving supply conditions across Nigeria's downstream petroleum sector following recent reductions in depot and refinery prices. The increased volume of coastal deliveries is expected to strengthen product availability, support inventory replenishment and sustain the intense competition that has emerged among marketers in recent weeks.

The market has also received a further boost after Dangote Refinery reduced both its gantry and coastal prices, suspended its consortium marketing arrangement and opened product sales to all qualified marketers. Combined with lower international crude oil prices and increased vessel movements, these developments are expected to keep supply robust and maintain downward pressure on depot prices in the near term.
