Tanker Report Today: Fuel Cargoes Land in Lagos, PH, Warri

As of April 28, 2025, Nigeria’s fuel import and discharge activity remains robust, based on the updated Tanker Position Report for the period between April 22nd and 28th. Several coastal depots across Lagos, Warri, Calabar, and Port Harcourt have seen the arrival or scheduled berthing of vessels carrying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK), and crude oil. Strategic Implications

This week’s tanker activity underscores Nigeria’s sustained momentum in managing petroleum imports amid market volatility. Vessels like Sienna and Ashabi directly support Dangote Refinery’s operations, ensuring a steady stream of crude for domestic processing. Meanwhile, increased diesel, PMS, and LPG cargoes through terminals such as Prudent, Salbas, and Nipco further help balance local supply, especially in anticipation of higher logistics demand during the planting season.

Outlook

More tankers are expected by month-end, including Pacific Blue, Golden Jasmine, and Amif, which will carry AGO, Jet A1, and PMS, respectively. With regulatory oversight and efficient terminal logistics in place, Nigeria’s short-term fuel availability outlook remains stable, minimizing the risk of retail supply disruptions nationwide.
